Role Overview

You’ll be a strategic HR Business Partner, working closely with leaders to shape how people are hired, developed, motivated, and retained. In this role, you turn people and organizational insights into clear, practical actions that strengthen performance and culture.

You’ll advise leaders on organizational design, coach managers, and use data to spot trends before they become issues. You’ll be the go-to partner for employee relations in India, helping resolve complex situations with sound judgment, empathy, and a strong understanding of local employment law. Your work will directly influence how people experience their careers, from onboarding and performance to recognition and growth.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff)

  • Partner with business leaders as a trusted advisor on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and people strategies.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, inform decisions, and translate analysis into clear priorities and actions.
  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters in India, ensuring fair, compliant, and timely outcomes.
  • Design, improve, and deliver programs across performance management, career development, coaching, and recognition to support managers and individual contributors.
  • Drive key HR cycles (e.g., performance, compensation, talent reviews) within your business area while aligning with global standards and practices.
  • Stay current on HR best practices and regulatory changes, and proactively guide leaders on implications for their teams.

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview

  • 5-9 years of relevant experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Hands-on experience managing employee relations in India, including complex and sensitive cases.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and delivering on complex, time-sensitive work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, sound judgment, and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and facilitate confidently.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build trust and follow through on commitments.

It would be great if you had these too, but we’ll support you if you don’t

  • Experience partnering with Technology and Product teams or similar knowledge-based functions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology, business administration, communications, or a related field.
  • A track record of being adaptable, curious, and proactive, with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
