Key Responsibilities
1. Performance Management & Workforce Productivity
- Design and execute performance management frameworks aligned to business, engineering, and manufacturing goals
- Drive goal-setting, KRAs, KPIs, and review cycles for both white-collar and shop-floor employees
- Ensure role clarity, productivity benchmarks, and performance measurement across functions
- Support managers in conducting effective performance reviews, feedback conversations, and improvement plans
- Track performance outcomes and link them to rewards, incentives, and career progression
2. HR Processes & Policy Design (Manufacturing-Aligned)
- Build end-to-end HR processes across hire-to-retire, tailored for manufacturing and R&D environments
- Develop and institutionalize HR policies, SOPs, and manuals covering factory operations, shifts, attendance, overtime, leaves, and disciplinary processes
- Ensure consistency across corporate and plant HR operations while supporting scale
3. HR Operations, Compliance & Audits
- Own statutory and labor law compliance including Factories Act, Shops & Establishments, PF, ESIC, gratuity, contract labor, and POSH
- Manage audits, inspections, and statutory documentation for manufacturing facilities
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, certifications, and training documentation
- Coordinate with external consultants and authorities for compliance readiness
4. HR Systems, Payroll & Workforce Analytics
- Implement and manage HRMS solutions covering attendance, shifts, payroll, performance, and compliance
- Ensure accurate payroll processing for both salaried and hourly / shift-based workforce
- Manage benefits, insurance, statutory deductions, and incentives linked to performance and productivity
- Build HR dashboards covering headcount, productivity, attrition, absenteeism, and compliance status
5. Employee Experience & Engagement (Factory + Office)
- Drive structured onboarding and induction programs for plant and corporate employees
- Implement engagement initiatives suited for manufacturing environments (safety, recognition, communication)
- Support grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution with fairness and compliance
- Foster a performance-driven, safety-conscious, and accountable culture
6. Leadership & Organizational Support
- Partner with leadership on manpower planning, capacity planning, and scale-up readiness
- Provide insights on workforce efficiency, performance gaps, and capability development
- Support leadership during expansion of manufacturing units and workforce scaling
Skills & Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR or Industrial Relations
- 5–8 years of experience in People Operations / HR Operations within manufacturing, deep-tech, or industrial environments
- Strong hands-on experience in performance management systems, KRAs, KPIs, and appraisal frameworks
- Proven expertise in factory HR, labor compliance, and workforce administration
- Experience with HRMS, shift management, payroll, and workforce analytics
High process orientation with strong execution and stakeholder management
