HRBP / Employee Relations Consultant

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner / Employee Relations Consultant to provide temporary coverage during a leave of absence. The individual will support managers across the APJ region, with a primary focus on low-performance management cases, manager coaching, and employee relations guidance.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgment, stakeholder management, and the ability to independently manage sensitive employee matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers across the APJ region to manage low-performance and capability-related cases.
- Provide guidance on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), documentation, and corrective actions.
- Coach managers on conducting performance conversations and managing employee expectations.
- Ensure performance management actions are aligned with company policies and local employment practices.
- Support employee relations matters related to performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and provide regular status updates to HR leadership.
- Collaborate with HR, legal, and business stakeholders as needed to resolve complex cases.
- Drive timely closure of cases while minimizing organizational risk.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in HR Business Partnering and/or Employee Relations.
- Demonstrated experience managing performance management and low-performance cases.
- Strong knowledge of PIP processes, documentation standards, and manager advisory practices.
- Experience working with business leaders and people managers in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
- Experience supporting multiple countries within the APAC/APJ region is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a multinational organization.
- Exposure to regional employee relations frameworks across APJ countries.
- Ability to start immediately or within a short notice period.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HRBP/ER professional who is comfortable independently managing performance-related employee cases, influencing managers, and navigating complex stakeholder conversations across a geographically distributed APJ workforce.
