Role Description The Housekeeping Associate (Public Area) is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, banquet pre-function spaces, restaurants’ public zones, and other guest-facing areas. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces, replenishing supplies, handling basic laundry duties for public area linens, and ensuring cleaning equipment is properly used and stored. The associate is expected to respond promptly to guest requests, report maintenance issues, follow safety and sanitation standards, and support room attendants and other housekeeping team members as needed. The role requires adherence to hotel policies, participation in training sessions, and collaboration with colleagues to deliver a consistent and welcoming environment for guests.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Organization Skills and attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness in all public areas.
  • Candidates should possess Laundry skills for handling public area linens and basic fabric care procedures.
  • Candidates should possess Communication and Customer Service skills to interact courteously with guests and coordinate effectively with team members.
  • Candidates should possess Training readiness, including willingness to learn hotel SOPs, safety guidelines, and new housekeeping techniques.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or facilities maintenance is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for extended periods, and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices is an advantage.
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent is preferred.
