Horticulturist Assistant

Position Overview

The Horticulturist Assistant supports the club's Horticulturist in the growing, planting, and maintenance of annuals, perennials, and produce throughout Riverside Country Club. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves plants and the outdoors, with experience preferred but not required — we want someone eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Horticulturist in growing, planting, and maintaining annuals, perennials, and produce.

Water plants consistently and with care.

Keep Riverside's plants alive and thriving through daily attention.

Maintain the grounds, including weeding, pruning, and general cleaning.

Assist with greenhouse growth and maintenance.

Follow instructions efficiently and complete daily tasks.

Communicate openly with the horticulture team and coworkers.

Qualifications

Flexible schedule with weekend availability.

Experience with Montana perennials preferred but not required — eager to learn.

Ability to work closely with a small team and perform a wide range of tasks.

Eye for detail.

Reliable and self-motivated.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable on a ladder.

Ability to weed at ground level and perform physical outdoor tasks.

Ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
