Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Guest Counsellor is responsible for supporting guests in achieving overall wellness by providing professional counselling and holistic guidance. The role focuses on enhancing guests’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through personalized support, while ensuring a seamless guest journey by coordinating with cross-functional teams. The Counsellor also plays a key role in promoting wellness programs, encouraging positive lifestyle changes, and driving guest satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Should help guests with the development of sustainable strategies to bring overall wellness, health, and well-being in the guest's life.
- Should be able to create awareness among guests regarding the importance of holistic wellness and guiding them on their path to achieve overall health and wellbeing
- Responsible to help guests improve their physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.
- Responsible to offer guidance to individuals, couples, families and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being.
- Encourage guests to discuss emotions and experiences. Counsel them in managing their emotions through wellness and holistic approach.
- Examine issues including anger management, careers, depression, relationships, anxiety, self-image, stress etc.
- Explain the guests about the importance of wellness program including the diet, treatment and yoga in achieving healthy lifestyle.
- Motivate the guests to believe, imbibe and make healthy decisions.
- Ensure smooth operations of Guest Journey during their stay.
- Address and resolve any guest specific complaint with respect to the wellness program.
- Oversee the guest specific activities as per their schedule.
- Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand.
- Should be able to upsell wellness program by motivating, convincing and creating awareness about the wellness program and its importance in healthy lifestyle management.
- Coordinate with respective departments to ensure overall delivery of high standard of guest experience in achieving guest satisfaction.
- Content writing management for company websites and articles.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Post-graduation preferably Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Counseling.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a professional counselor or B.N.Y.S. Degree with minimum experience of 4 years’ can also be preferred.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude to empathize with guests and help them open up.
- Good time management skills with sound knowledge on guest administration.
- Experienced with specialist psychological assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems of varying severity and complexity.
- Proficient with psychological therapies, risk assessment, training and supervision.
