Hiring: Interns & Freshers Video Editor (Work From Ofc)

About the Role

Galgotias Times is a growing media organisation with a strong presence across print and digital platforms. We are looking for 3 talented and driven individuals to join our creative team as Video Editors. The ideal candidate is someone who is equally confident designing high-impact visuals and editing professional-quality videos, and who actively leverages AI tools to enhance the speed and quality of their work.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Edit news, event, and promotional videos for YouTube, Instagram, and the official website
• Design thumbnails, reel covers, banners, social media posts, infographics, and print-ready creatives
• Use AI-powered tools to accelerate content creation and maintain high output quality
• Collaborate with journalists, reporters, and editors to visually communicate stories
• Maintain a consistent brand identity across all content formats — digital and print
• Create event banners, email headers, and promotional material as required
• Coordinate with the editorial team on daily content requirements and deadlines
• Manage multiple design and editing tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced newsroom environment

Required Skills – Graphic Design

• Adobe Photoshop – photo editing, compositing, and digital design
• Canva Pro / Canva AI – social media creatives, templates, and rapid design
• Typography, brand identity, and infographic design

Required Skills – Video Editing

• Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve – professional video editing and colour grading
• Adobe After Effects – motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects
• Reels & Shorts editing optimised for social media platforms
• Colour grading and audio syncing

Required Skills – AI Tools

Proficiency in AI tools is mandatory. Candidates must be actively using and experimenting with AI platforms, including but not limited to:

• AI Image & Graphics: Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, Midjourney, DALL·E
• AI Video Generation: Sora (OpenAI), Google Flow, Runway ML, CapCut AI
• AI Productivity & Research: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM

Communication & Soft Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication in Hindi and English
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom
• Proactive, accountable, and a collaborative team player
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI in creative work and a growth-oriented mindset

Terms & Conditions

• Physical presence is mandatory for the interview. No online or virtual interviews will be conducted under any circumstances.
• This is a full-time, Work From Office position. The selected candidate must commute to the office on a daily basis. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
• The candidate must demonstrate strong, hands-on proficiency in video editing. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
