We need a Hindi writer who can write stories that a voiceover artist can read without changing a single word. This is not translation. This is not content writing. This is writing spoken Hindi — for a child's ear — with the rhythm, warmth, and simplicity of a grandmother telling a story.

You will receive English story outlines with research notes (deity, temple, key narrative beats, source references). Your job is to write the full Hindi narration script — original writing in Hindi, not a translation of the English.

What the work looks like

  • 1,000-1,200 word scripts per story
  • Conversational, warm, colloquial Hindi (not textbook, not Doordarshan)
  • Short breath-friendly lines optimized for audio narration
  • Character dialogue that sounds like real people talking — a mother scolding her child, kids yelling to each other, a king whispering a prayer
  • Accurate retelling of kathas from Puranas, sthala puranas, and regional traditions — no invented details, no mixing up of stories

You might be right for this if

  • You've written for audio, radio, podcast, or voiceover — you know the difference between writing for the page and writing for the mic
  • You grew up hearing these stories in Hindi — Ramcharitmanas, Bhagavata, temple stories — and the vocabulary comes naturally to you

Not a fit if

  • Your Hindi writing background is primarily news, blogs, or SEO content
  • You'd translate from English and polish rather than write fresh in Hindi
  • You're not familiar with Hindu devotional stories and temple traditions
