Job Description
Udit Group of Companies Limited is expanding its corporate team as part of its next phase of growth in highway and infrastructure development.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead tendering and bid management for highway EPC projects, responsible for analysing tender opportunities, preparing competitive bids, and managing the entire bid submission process.
This role will work closely with design, planning, procurement, and finance teams to ensure that tenders are prepared with accurate cost estimation, risk assessment, and strategic pricing.
The objective of this role is to enable the company to participate in and win large infrastructure projects through disciplined and competitive bidding.
Key ResponsibilitiesTender Identification & Analysis
- Monitor infrastructure tenders from authorities such as NHAI, MoRTH, NHIDCL, PWD, and other government agencies
- Analyse eligibility requirements, project scope, and contractual conditions
- Prepare internal bid/no-bid evaluations
Bid Preparation
- Review tender documents including BOQ, technical specifications, and contract conditions
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather technical and commercial inputs
- Prepare complete bid documentation
Cost Estimation
- Conduct detailed rate analysis for BOQ items
- Evaluate costs of earthwork, pavement layers, structures, materials, equipment, and labour
- Prepare project cost estimates aligned with execution realities
Commercial Strategy
- Analyse project risks and pricing sensitivity
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining project profitability
- Support management in final bid price decisions
Coordination With Internal Teams
- Work closely with planning teams to review project schedules
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material cost inputs
- Liaise with design teams for technical clarifications and optimisation opportunities
Tender Submission Management
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of bids
- Manage documentation requirements and compliance with tender conditions
- Coordinate submission on government e-tender portals
Mandatory Skills
Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in:
- tender preparation for highway EPC projects
- rate analysis and BOQ interpretation
- understanding of MoRTH specifications and IRC standards
- evaluating technical and commercial aspects of infrastructure tenders
Experience Requirement
12–20 years in tendering and estimation for infrastructure or highway EPC projects.
Candidates must have participated in bidding for projects valued above ₹100 crore.
Preferred Candidate Background
Suitable candidates may currently be working as:
- Tendering Manager – Highway EPC
- Bid Manager – Infrastructure Projects
- Estimation Manager – Civil EPC
- Head – Tendering (Infrastructure)
Experience in companies such as:
- Dilip Buildcon
- PNC Infratech
- KNR Constructions
- Ashoka Buildcon
- GR Infraprojects
- IRB Infrastructure
will be strongly preferred.
