Position: Head – Regulatory Compliance

Location: Barasat, West Bengal, India (On-site)

Position Overview:

Brainware University is looking for a detail-oriented and accountable professional for the role of Head – Regulatory Compliance, responsible for strengthening academic compliance systems and ensuring adherence to statutory and institutional norms across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify faculty appointments and promotions to ensure minimum eligibility requirements are met (including Ph.D. norms where applicable).

• Ensure compliance with academic calendar requirements, including maintaining at least 15 weeks of teaching-learning days per semester.

• Audit departmental records and attendance systems to confirm full-time faculty work commitments of at least 8 hours per working day.

• Monitor and manage Cadre Ratio compliance, including norms such as 1:2:4 (Professor : Associate Professor : Assistant Professor).

• Maintain compliance documentation, support internal reviews, and coordinate with relevant academic/administrative units for timely reporting.

Educational Qualification:

• MBA / PGDM (HR/Operations/Administration), LLM, MA/MSc/MCom with strong higher-education compliance exposure.

Experience:

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Higher Education regulatory compliance / academic governance / IQAC-support / academic audit / university administration.
