Job Title: Head of Sales - Corporate Events


About the Role

Seeking an experienced, dynamic, and result-driven Head of Sales to lead our Corporate Events business vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing sales strategies, leading a high-performing sales team, building long-term client relationships, and achieving ambitious revenue targets. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong network in the corporate sector, excellent leadership capabilities, and proven expertise in corporate event sales, MICE, and business development.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and business segments.
  • Develop strategic plans to expand the company's presence across Corporate Events and MICE.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasts, profitability, and conversion ratios to ensure sustainable business growth.

Client Acquisition & Key Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with CXOs, HR Heads, Marketing Heads, Admin Heads, Procurement Teams, L&D Heads, and key decision-makers.
  • Acquire new corporate clients while strengthening relationships with existing accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services across multiple event categories.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and ensure long-term client retention through exceptional relationship management.

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop the Business Development team.
  • Set individual KPIs, sales targets, and performance goals.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, sales meetings, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a high-performance, target-driven, and collaborative sales culture.

Proposal Management & Client Presentations

  • Lead client meetings, strategic presentations, and business pitches.
  • Review proposals, commercial quotations, and presentations before submission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative event concepts and customized client solutions.

Networking & Market Expansion

  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking forums, exhibitions, trade shows, and corporate associations.
  • Build strategic alliances with hotels, venues, destination management companies (DMCs), hospitality partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen brand visibility and create new business opportunities through strategic networking.

CRM & Sales Operations

  • Ensure accurate CRM management by maintaining updated sales pipelines, leads, proposals, and client interactions.
  • Monitor key sales metrics, prepare MIS reports, analyze business performance, and provide strategic insights for continuous improvement.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through effective forecasting and pipeline management.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with the Client Servicing, Creative, Design, Production, MICE Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Digital Marketing teams to develop winning proposals, ensure seamless project execution, deliver exceptional client experiences, and achieve business objectives through effective cross-functional coordination.


Required Skills

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Corporate Sales, B2B Business Development, Corporate Event Sales, MICE Sales, Client Acquisition, Key Account Management, Revenue Generation, Consultative Selling, Negotiation, Team Leadership, Business Growth Strategies, and Market Expansion. Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills with a strong customer-centric and result-oriented approach are essential.


Industry Expertise

Candidates should have a strong understanding of the Corporate Events, MICE, Event Management, Hospitality, Destination Management, Experiential Marketing, Conferences, Exhibitions, Corporate Travel, Incentive Travel, and Luxury Events industry. Experience in managing end-to-end sales cycles, corporate event solutions, RFPs, large-scale event projects, and strategic client relationships will be highly preferred.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, or a related field. An MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Sales will be an added advantage.
  • 8–15 years of experience in Corporate Sales, Business Development, Corporate Event Sales, MICE Sales, Hospitality Sales, or Experiential Marketing.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in leading and managing a sales team.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong network with corporate clients, decision-makers, and industry partners.
