About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to lead and scale the entire performance marketing function at our agency. This is a leadership role responsible for strategy, execution oversight, team management, and client growth across paid marketing channels.


The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Meta Ads, Google Ads, full-funnel acquisition strategy, retention marketing, and CRO, with proven experience in managing large advertising budgets and leading high-performing marketing teams.


This role will be responsible for driving measurable growth for multiple brands across D2C, B2B, and service industries, while building scalable performance marketing systems within the agency.


Key Responsibilities

Performance Marketing Strategy & Growth

  • Own and define the performance marketing strategy across all client accounts.
  • Build scalable full-funnel acquisition strategies across channels, including:
  • Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping)
  • Retargeting and remarketing campaigns
  • Develop structured frameworks for customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to scale campaigns while maintaining strong ROAS and CAC targets.


Budget Management & Media Buying Oversight

  • Oversee and manage large advertising budgets across multiple accounts.
  • Ensure effective media allocation across channels and campaigns.
  • Monitor and optimise key performance metrics, including:
  • ROAS
  • CAC
  • CPA
  • LTV
  • Conversion rates
  • Implement strong testing frameworks for creatives, audiences, and funnel optimisation.


Team Leadership & Department Management

  • Lead and mentor the performance marketing team, including Meta Ads specialists, Google Ads specialists, and junior media buyers.
  • Build structured processes for campaign planning, reporting, and optimisation.
  • Conduct regular strategy reviews, performance audits, and team training sessions.
  • Recruit and develop new talent to strengthen the performance marketing department.


Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

  • Work closely with design, development, and content teams to improve landing pages and website conversion rates.
  • Identify funnel drop-offs and run CRO experiments to improve performance.
  • Optimise user journeys, checkout flows, and lead generation funnels.


Retention & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Develop strategies for retargeting, remarketing, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Collaborate with teams managing Email marketing, WhatsApp marketing, and CRM systems.
  • Improve customer lifetime value and repeat purchase rates for D2C brands.


Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Establish a strong data-driven performance marketing culture.
  • Oversee tracking implementation, including pixels, events, and conversion APIs.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, and attribution platforms to derive actionable insights.
  • Present strategic performance insights to clients and internal leadership.


Client Strategy & Communication

  • Lead growth strategy discussions with clients and present campaign performance insights.
  • Identify new growth opportunities for existing clients.
  • Handle complex client requirements and escalations related to paid marketing.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Performance Marketing.
  • Strong expertise in Meta Ads and Google Ads platforms.
  • Proven experience managing large advertising budgets (₹50L+ monthly or equivalent across accounts).
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing strategy.
  • Experience working with D2C brands and B2B lead generation campaigns.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience leading and mentoring performance marketing teams.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and retention marketing.


Leadership Skills

  • Proven ability to lead teams and scale marketing operations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment, managing multiple brands simultaneously.
  • High ownership mindset with strong problem-solving ability.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
  • Well-versed with major marketing and analytics platforms, including ad managers, attribution tools, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and performance tracking platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools used for performance analysis and client reporting.
  • Familiarity with analytics and optimisation tools such as:
  • Hotjar
  • Microsoft Clarity
  • Triple Whale
  • Attribution platforms
  • Experience working with Shopify, eCommerce brands, and SaaS companies.
