🔹 About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned SCM Leader / MP&L Head to drive end-to-end plant operations including Procurement, PPC, Stores, Logistics, and Production Planning.
This is a leadership role with direct impact on plant performance, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction, including acting as a 2nd Line to Plant Head. Strong exposure in handling key OEMs like Maruti Suzuki & Tata Motors, with the ability to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
🚚 Transport & Inbound Logistics
Manage incoming goods, unloading, storage, and inventory control
Ensure accurate scanning, system updates, and material tracking
Drive quality checks and corrective actions for non-conformance
Maintain logistics equipment and warehouse readiness
Lead and manage inbound logistics teams
🏭 Production & Manufacturing Logistics
Ensure timely material supply aligned with production plans
Oversee dispatch and disposal processes
Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental standards
Manage shop-floor logistics operations
📦 Dispatch & Outbound Logistics
Ensure accurate and timely shipment processing
Monitor packaging as per customer requirements
Ensure proper labeling, scanning, and documentation
Handle customs compliance and export documentation
📊 Production Planning & Control (PPC)
Plan and manage production schedules based on capacity & demand
Monitor production performance and resolve bottlenecks
Coordinate SOP & EOP activities with internal and external stakeholders
🤝 Supplier & Materials Management
Coordinate with suppliers for seamless material flow
Forecast shortages and manage supply risks
Ensure supplier compliance and documentation accuracy
⚙️ Logistics Planning & Process Improvement
Develop and implement logistics strategies and improvements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Optimize tools, systems, and workflows
💰 Inventory & Cost Control
Manage inventory levels using PPCP methodology
Control logistics costs and optimize resource utilization
Track KPIs like delivery performance, inventory, and supplier quality
🔹 Key Achievements We’re Looking For
Experience in Greenfield Plant Setup
Proven track record of 100% delivery performance & customer satisfaction
Successful implementation of SAP / ERP / Automation projects
Strong exposure to automotive Tier-1/Tier-2 ecosystem
🔹 Qualifications
MBA (Operations) / Engineering (Mechanical / Production)
14+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing setup
Strong hands-on experience with SAP / ERP tools
