Job Title: HR Operations Head


Location: Mulund West, Mumbai

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹65,000 per month

Utkarsh Global Foundation is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization working at the intersection of animal welfare and community development.

The organization runs large-scale, execution-driven programs including Animal Birth Control (ABC), rescue and rehabilitation, and animal healthcare services, supported by on-ground infrastructure such as hospitals and field teams.

With active collaborations across government bodies, CSR partners, and local communities, the foundation operates in a multi-location, high-volume environment, requiring strong operational execution and workforce management.


Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Operations Head to lead and manage end-to-end HR operations. The role will be responsible for overseeing payroll, HRMS, compliance, employee engagement, and learning & development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with strong system expertise and the ability to drive process efficiency across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities


1. HR Operations & Strategy

  • Lead and manage HR operations across multiple locations
  • Develop, implement, and optimize HR policies, SOPs, and processes
  • Ensure seamless execution of all HR functions

2. Payroll & HRMS Management

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing through HRMS platforms
  • Ensure accuracy in attendance, leave records, salary structures, and deductions
  • Work extensively on HRMS systems (Keka HRMS preferred)
  • Maintain and optimize HRMS data, workflows, and reporting

3. Compliance Management

  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliances including PF, ESIC, and labor laws
  • Maintain documentation and ensure audit readiness

4. Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Identify training needs and implement structured learning programs
  • Drive employee performance and skill development initiatives

5. Employee Engagement

  • Plan and execute engagement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction
  • Drive retention strategies and workplace culture
  • Address and resolve employee grievances effectively

6. Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
  • Collaborate with operations and departmental heads
  • Ensure effective HR support across field and corporate teams

7. MIS & Reporting

  • Generate HR dashboards and reports through HRMS
  • Track key metrics such as attrition, payroll accuracy, and engagement levels

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Graduate or Postgraduate in HR or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Operations
    • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • Payroll processing through HRMS
    • HRMS platforms (Keka preferred)
    • Employee engagement and L&D initiatives
    • Prior experience in NGO, healthcare, or field operations will be an advantage
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
