The Hardware Asset Management Analyst is accountable for designing, implementing and continuously improving Aon’s enterprise Hardware Asset Management (HAM) capability on the ServiceNow platform.
This role will enforce the global HAM strategy, operating model, standards and roadmap, ensuring that Aon has accurate, trusted data for all physical and virtual hardware assets across regions and business units. The analyst will partner closely with Technology, Security, Finance, Procurement, to reduce risk, optimize cost and enable better decisions through high‑quality asset data.
The role requires deep expertise in ServiceNow HAM Pro, strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle processes and an enterprise mindset to drive adoption across a complex global environment.

What The Day Will Look Like
- Support and enforce the global strategy and roadmap for Hardware Asset Management on ServiceNow (HAM Pro), aligned to Aon’s business goals.
- Support and maintain global HAM policies, standards and controls (e.g., lifecycle states, ownership, tagging, disposal, security requirements).
- Monitor performance, manage demand and prioritize enhancements.
- Ensure HAM processes and designs support compliance, audit and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Support and expand thedesign and configuration of ServiceNow HAM Pro, including data models, discovery integrations, workflows, catalog items and dashboards.
- Define and optimize end‑to‑end hardware lifecycle processes (request, procurement, receipt, deployment, transfer, maintenance, refresh, disposal).
- Drive standardization of asset classification, naming conventions, locations and cost centers to support global reporting and chargeback/showback.
- Oversee operational performance of HAM processes (e.g., inventory accuracy, reconciliation rates, asset utilization, refresh adherence).
- Ensure the quality, completeness and timeliness of hardware asset data in the CMDB/HAM Pro, including integration with discovery tools, procurement and finance systems.
- Partner with Security, Risk and Compliance to support vulnerability management, software license compliance, and secure asset disposition.
- Work with Finance and Procurement to optimize total cost of ownership, drive contract and vendor efficiencies, and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide analytics and insight on hardware fleet (e.g., technology currency, lifecycle status, utilization, spend) to support better business decisions.
- Partner with ServiceNow platform owners, Product Owners, ABS and regional Technology leaders to ensure HAM capability is integrated and scalable.
- Promote adoption of HAM standards and best practices through training, communications and engagement with key stakeholder groups.
- Server as a subject‑matter expert on ServiceNow HAM Pro, advising on major programs (e.g., data center moves, workplace transformation, device refresh, M&A).
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes, increase automation and enhance user experience.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, HAM Pro capabilities and industry best practices; lead evaluation and adoption of relevant new features.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs for HAM, and regularly report outcomes to senior stakeholders.

- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in IT Asset Management, with at least 3–5 years focused on Hardware Asset Management in a large, complex organization.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience implementing and/or operating
ServiceNow HAM Pro at scale, including configuration, data model and workflow design.
- Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management, particularly CMDB, Discovery, Incident, Change and Request Management.
- Experience working with or closely partnering with offshore / near‑shore teams and third‑party service providers.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with dashboards, reporting and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for non‑technical audiences.
ServiceNow certifications such as:
- Certified Implementation Specialist – ITAM / HAM
- Experience with related ServiceNow modules (SAM Pro, CMDB, Discovery, ITOM, ITSM).
- Familiarity with security, compliance and privacy considerations related to hardware assets and data destruction.
- Experience in professional services, financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Client and Colleague Focus: Designs HAM capabilities that improve service experience for colleagues and internal clients.
- Execution Excellence: Delivers complex, multi‑region initiatives on time and within scope.
- Change Leadership: Able to drive behavioral and process change across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Collaboration and Influence: Builds strong relationships across Technology, ABS, Finance, Procurement and business units.
- Analytical Thinking: Uses data and insight to identify issues, quantify value and shape decisions for the better.
