Graphic Designer

The Art Ledger is an independent magazine dedicated to exploring the art world and its intricate ecosystem beyond galleries and museums. It highlights both emerging talent and renowned artists while covering market trends, auction houses, and cultural influences. The publication investigates key topics such as provenance, misrepresentation, and the mechanisms that drive value and visibility in the art scene. Through cultural reporting, investigative insights, and trend analysis, The Art Ledger offers readers a behind-the-scenes perspective on the art world with a clear and accessible tone.

This is a contract, remote role for a Graphic Designer. As a Graphic Designer at The Art Ledger, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics for both digital and print platforms. Daily tasks include designing layouts, developing brand visuals, creating logos, and crafting typography to align with the magazine’s aesthetic. You will collaborate closely with the editorial team to develop designs that reflect the magazine’s mission of demystifying the art world.

• Strong skills in Graphics, Graphic Design, and Logo Design
• Experience in Branding and crafting cohesive visual identities
• Expertise in Typography and creating visually engaging text elements
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines
• A strong portfolio showcasing creativity and diverse design projects
• Experience working in or a passion for the art and cultural industries is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
