Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Commercial & Margin Ownership
  • Own and manage landed cost vs. selling price alignment
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure profitability and margin optimization
  • Understand and manage distribution margins (markup-based models)
  • Support pricing strategy across international markets (India → GCC)
2. BOQ / RFQ Handling
  • Analyze and manage client BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
  • Convert RFQs into structured sourcing and procurement plans
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Support sales team with accurate costing and pricing inputs
3. Strategic Vendor Development
  • Build and maintain long-term global supplier relationships
  • Negotiate:
  • Pricing & contracts
  • Exclusivity / semi-exclusivity agreements
  • Credit terms & MOQs
  • Develop scalable and reliable supplier networks
4. Multi-Category Sourcing Capability
  • Handle sourcing across multiple categories including:
  • Civil finish materials (furniture, panels, fittings)
  • MEP materials
  • Cables & fibre
  • Prefabricated structures
  • Infrastructure materials
5. Logistics Optimization (Strategic Role)
  • Optimize freight costs and shipping strategies
  • Plan shipment consolidation (multi-vendor aggregation)
  • Design efficient international logistics routes (India → GCC)
  • Work closely with logistics partners to reduce cost & lead time
6. Payment Structuring & Financial Coordination
  • Manage and negotiate payment structures:
  • LC (Letter of Credit)
  • TT (Telegraphic Transfer)
  • Advance payments
  • Handle supplier credit cycles
  • Understand forex risks and international payment considerations
  • Coordinate with finance for cash flow optimization
7. International Partner Coordination
  • Collaborate with:
  • Regional/global partners (e.g., GCC-based partners)
  • On-ground sales teams
  • Support demand planning and supply execution across regions
  • Ensure alignment between sales, procurement, and logistics
8. Pricing Intelligence & Data Management
  • Maintain:
  • Global supplier database
  • Pricing benchmarks across markets
  • Product-wise cost tracking systems
  • Drive data-based procurement decisions
  • Continuously track market trends and cost fluctuations
9. Trading / Distribution Mindset (Critical Requirement)
  • Work in a B2B trading / distribution environment
  • Manage procurement not just for projects but for buy-sell margin business models
  • Focus on scalability, repeat sourcing, and commercial viability
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business / Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in:
  • Global sourcing / procurement
  • Trading or distribution businesses
  • Strong exposure to international procurement (import/export)
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • BOQ / RFQ handling
  • Vendor negotiations
  • Costing & pricing
  • Knowledge of:
  • Incoterms
  • International trade & logistics
  • Payment instruments (LC, TT)
