You'll have the opportunity to:

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Consultation & Product Curation

• Participate in client meetings to understand lifestyle requirements, design aspirations and functional needs.
• Interpret architectural drawings, floor plans and furniture layouts.
• Develop mood boards, furniture concepts and curated material palettes.
• Recommend furniture, lighting and décor solutions aligned with client requirements.
• Work closely with the founders and design team to create exceptional luxury interiors.
• Stay updated on international design trends and emerging luxury brands.

Global Product Sourcing

• Identify and source premium furniture, lighting, kitchens, wardrobes and décor from international manufacturers.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers across China, Italy and other global markets.
• Evaluate new product collections, materials, finishes and innovations.
• Negotiate pricing, specifications, production timelines and commercial terms.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and factory visits.

Vendor Development

• Build strategic partnerships with international manufacturers.
• Coordinate quotations, product specifications and production schedules.
• Maintain supplier databases and sourcing documentation.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout procurement.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners and the internal design team.
• Support procurement planning and project execution.
• Resolve sourcing-related challenges during project delivery.

International Travel

The role requires frequent international travel (approximately 10–12 days every month) primarily to China and Italy for:

• Factory visits
• Supplier meetings
• Furniture exhibitions
• Design fairs
• Product discovery
• Quality inspections
• Market research

Experience

• 4–6 years of professional experience.
• Experience in interior design is preferred.
• Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, buying, merchandising or vendor development will be highly preferred.
• Experience in furniture, interiors, luxury retail or home décor will be an advantage.

Essential SkillsDesign & Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of residential interior design principles.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, floor plans and furniture layouts.
• Experience developing design concepts, mood boards and material palettes.
• Good understanding of furniture, lighting, kitchens, wardrobes and luxury interior finishes.
• Strong product curation and aesthetic judgement.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential.
• Experience with Enscape, V-Ray, 3ds Max, Photoshop or similar visualization software will be an added advantage.

Sourcing & Commercial Skills

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, buying, merchandising or vendor development.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to evaluate products based on quality, craftsmanship and commercial viability.
• Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail.
• Passion for discovering new products, materials and global design trends.

Client Consulting Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to conduct consultative discussions with homeowners, architects and designers.
• Strong concept-selling abilities rather than transactional selling.
• Confidence presenting mood boards and curated design solutions.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
