General Manager (Heavy-Duty Truck Repair)
Job Function: Operations | Leadership | Fleet Maintenance
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Based on Experience + 25% Bonus Potential
Position Overview
At True North Fleet Services, in partnership with PennFleet, we are seeking a General Manager to lead a high-volume, multi-function truck repair operation in Boothwyn, PA.
This role is responsible for driving shop performance, developing a strong team culture, and ensuring fleet uptime through efficient operations, quality repairs, and a customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
Oversee daily shop workflow to ensure high-quality repairs and efficient turnaround times
Drive execution across diesel service, mobile repair, and/or body operations
Monitor productivity, cycle times, and overall shop efficiency
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput
Leadership & Team Development
Hire, train, and develop technicians, service advisors, and shop staff
Build a culture centered on accountability, performance, and teamwork
Provide clear expectations, coaching, and ongoing performance management
Financial & Business Management
Manage shop P&L, labor efficiency, and cost controls
Analyze KPIs and operational metrics to drive profitability
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvement
Customer & Partner Experience
Serve as the point of contact for key customers and accounts
Resolve escalated issues with a professional, solution-oriented approach
Build long-term relationships that drive retention and trust
Supply Chain & Inventory
Oversee parts procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships
Ensure parts availability aligns with workflow to minimize delays
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
Qualifications
3+ years of leadership or management experience (automotive or heavy-duty truck industry preferred)
Strong understanding of diesel repair, mobile service, and/or body shop operations
Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and operational performance
Experience with shop management systems and estimating software
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
Lead-by-example mindset with strong communication and accountability
