Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end order lifecycle from order confirmation to shipment—coordinate with buyers, vendors, and internal teams to meet delivery timelines.
- Prepare and maintain accurate tech packs, costing sheets, and sampling plans; drive sample approvals and revisions with suppliers and design teams.
- Monitor production schedules and conduct regular follow-ups with factories to ensure on-time milestones and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Negotiate prices, lead times, and terms with suppliers; optimise cost and margin while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct in-line and final quality checks; ensure compliance with buyer specifications, labelling, packaging, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage shipment documentation, prefix export procedures, and coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch and customs clearance.
- Must-Have — Proven experience in apparel merchandising for export or retail markets with hands-on production follow-up and sampling coordination.
- Must-Have — Strong technical merchandising skills: tech pack creation, costing, size-set coordination, and tolerances.
- Must-Have — Familiarity with garment production processes across knit and woven categories; ability to read basic garment construction and specifications.
- Must-Have — Proficiency in MS Excel for order tracking, BOMs, and production schedules; experience with PLM or ERP platforms preferred.
- Must-Have — Knowledge of quality inspection procedures, AQL, and understanding of compliance requirements for major export markets.
- Preferred — Experience with Gerber/Lectra or garment CAD systems and exposure to vendor development or sourcing for fabrics/trims.
- On-site role with direct factory exposure and ownership of end-to-end merchandising—fast learning and visible impact on product delivery.
- Structured performance reviews and opportunities to lead export accounts or new vendor development projects.
