Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Furniture Carpenter role based in Raipur. The Furniture Carpenter will measure, cut, and assemble wooden components to build and repair furniture such as tables, chairs, cabinets, and custom pieces. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting design drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and using hand tools and power tools to shape, join, and finish workpieces. The role involves installing hardware, sanding and applying finishes, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe workshop. The Furniture Carpenter will collaborate with designers, supervisors, and other team members to meet project specifications and production timelines.
Qualifications

• Strong carpentry skills, with experience in furniture construction, assembly, and repair.
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., chisels, planes, saws) and safe handling practices.
• Ability to operate power tools (e.g., drills, sanders, routers, saws) with attention to safety and precision.
• Experience in framing and structural woodworking for furniture or related projects.
• Skill in finish carpentry, including sanding, fitting joints, and applying stains, paints, and other finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and work orders.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods, following safety guidelines.
• Previous experience in a carpentry or furniture workshop; vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
