Role Description The Fundraiser – Face to Face role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves engaging directly with members of the public to share CBM India’s mission, impact, and programs, with the goal of inspiring individuals to become regular donors or supporters. The Fundraiser will conduct face-to-face interactions at designated locations, present clear and compelling information about CBM India’s work, and answer questions to build trust and long-term relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting fundraising targets, maintaining accurate donor information, following ethical fundraising practices, and representing CBM India in a professional and respectful manner. The role also involves coordinating with the fundraising team, participating in training sessions, and providing feedback from field interactions to improve outreach strategies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in clear, empathetic, and persuasive conversations.
• Candidates should possess relationship-building and customer service skills, including active listening, conflict resolution, and maintaining donor trust and satisfaction.
• Candidates should possess basic sales or fundraising skills, such as pitching, negotiation, and goal-oriented outreach, preferably in a nonprofit or social sector context.
• Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining records, managing daily reporting, and handling donor information accurately and confidentially.
• Relevant skills such as teamwork, adaptability to field conditions, and a strong commitment to inclusion and the rights of persons with disabilities are beneficial.
• Previous experience in fundraising, public-facing roles, or community outreach is an advantage, though motivated entry-level applicants are welcome.
• A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, marketing, or a related field is an added benefit.
• Fluency in english , along with the ability to work flexible hours when needed, will be helpful for success in this role.
