What Will I Do?

As the Fresh Produce Sr Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in bringing Kroger’s fresh produce strategy to life by transforming data into action. You’ll support Fresh Produce Sourcing Managers by developing analytical insights, preparing strategy materials, coordinating sourcing timelines, and managing the day‑to‑day execution of sourcing events. Using a global mindset, you’ll evaluate market intelligence from international growing regions, translate worldwide crop developments and supply shifts into sourcing recommendations, and help anticipate the broader impacts of global agricultural trends. From building award optimization scenarios to interpreting market trends, cost drivers, and production cycles, you’ll contribute to ensuring Kroger delivers high‑quality, competitively priced produce to customers.

Who Will I Work With?

You’ll collaborate across a dynamic and fast‑paced network that includes Category Managers, Merchandising partners, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams. Your role positions you at the center of daily sourcing execution—supporting negotiations, clarifying supplier questions, coordinating timelines, and ensuring alignment across internal teams. You’ll partner with suppliers to track performance, support continuous improvement efforts, and maintain strong working relationships that keep Kroger ahead in a rapidly changing market. Internally, you’ll work closely with teams who rely on your analytical insights to make informed decisions that elevate the customer experience.
