Your Mandate: The Real-Time Brain: As our?Founding Cloud Architect , you own the real-time platform that ingests signals from 100,000+ devices and turns them into? actionable guidance ?(smart speed recommendations and minimal-disruption reroutes) in seconds. What you?ll do: Define the language ?of device?cloud: clear, versioned contracts for telemetry in and guidance out. Stand up secure ingestion ?that doesn?t blink: mTLS, per-device identity, low-latency APIs, sane topic/queue design, and rate limits. Build the real-time engine: ?map-match GPS to roads, keep per-segment speeds fresh, detect forming jams early, and compute guidance quickly. Design storage that scales: ?sub-second hot state for decisions, time-series for trends, and a data lake for learning/replays. Operate with SLOs: ?plan latency in the low hundreds of ms, ingestion lag in seconds, graceful degradation under partial failures. Ship safely: ?privacy-by-design, encryption in transit/at rest, least-privilege access, auditable changes. Partner tightly ?with firmware and hardware so devices and cloud evolve as one (including update and fleet-health hooks). Who You Are: 3?5 years building? real-time, high-throughput ?platforms (IoT/telematics/streaming/adtech/fintech). You?ve designed and operated? streaming pipelines ?and? low-latency services ?at meaningful scale. Comfortable with? IoT security ?(mTLS, per-device identity) and robust, evolvable? data modeling . Geospatial/time-series instincts; you know how to keep data? fresh, queryable, and cost-efficient . Founder mindset: ?first principles, write it down, measure it, fix it, own the outcome.
