Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) ? LimeTray Location: Gurugram Function: Sales, Product & Engineering Reports to: CEO About LimeTray LimeTray builds restaurant technology that powers some of the world?s leading food brands?Domino?s, Burger King, Tim Hortons, and 5000+ others. Our SaaS suite spans digital ordering, POS, loyalty, inventory, and AI-led analytics. We?re scaling rapidly across India, GCC, and the US. We?re hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) ?a small, entrepreneurial team who will be the tip of the spear in building, selling, and scaling LimeTray globally. Role Overview As an FDE, you?ll operate at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering . You?ll be embedded with prospects and customers to understand their toughest problems, design solutions using LimeTray?s suite, and make the business case stick . This role is not about writing endless code or sitting in an ivory tower. It?s about hustling in the field, engineering solutions on the fly, shaping deals, and influencing what we build next . What You?ll Do Pre-Sales Engineering: Partner with sales on high-value deals. Diagnose customer workflows, design architectures, and build compelling demos/prototypes. Solutioning & Deployment: Translate customer needs into working solutions by configuring, customizing, or coding lightweight integrations. Product Feedback: Bring structured insights from the field back into product roadmaps. Influence what we build, why, and how. Deal Impact: Be a force multiplier in closing strategic accounts by bridging the gap between customer execs, ops teams, and LimeTray engineers. Thought Partner: Advise customers on how to digitize operations, leverage AI-led analytics, and drive adoption at scale. Who You Are Engineer at heart : Strong fundamentals in coding (Python, JS/Node, or Java), APIs, and data. You can prototype and ship quickly. Commercially minded : Comfortable in customer meetings, understanding ROI levers, and supporting sales in negotiations. Problem-solver : Thrive in ambiguous, messy real-world problems and can architect solutions pragmatically. Connector : Move seamlessly between customer stakeholders, internal sales teams, and engineering pods. Entrepreneurial : Self-starter, resourceful, thrives in fast-moving environments. Nice to Have Experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, consulting, or technical sales roles. Background in SaaS/restaurant tech, or exposure to POS/ordering platforms.
