Job Description
About The Role
We are looking for a strategic Financial Controller to build and own the financial foundation of Armatrix as we transition from early deployments to structured commercial growth. This is a high-impact, founding-tier role designed for a professional who wants to move beyond standard compliance and play a central role in capital planning, manufacturing scale-up, and institutional fundraising. You will work directly with the founders to build the finance function from first principles, managing everything from complex hardware unit economics to investor relations. As the company scales, this position is uniquely structured to evolve into our CFO, offering a platform for an ambitious leader to shape the long-term trajectory of a venture-backed deep-tech robotics startup.
Responsibilities and Duties
Armatrix is a robotics company developing next-gen snake-like robotic arms for inspection and maintenance in complex hazardous environments. Our systems are engineered to deliver high accuracy, flexibility, and safety, enabling precise operations across sectors like aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing and defence.

- Lead investor reporting & fundraising readiness by maintaining monthly MIS/KPI dashboards, managing the data room for due diligence, and overseeing the cap table and ESOP accounting.
- Develop deep-tech unit economics for both product sales and robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) models, supporting pricing strategy and gross margin optimization.
- Oversee compliance & governance including GST, TDS, FEMA, RBI, and foreign investment filings, while establishing robust internal financial controls and audit workflows.
- Implement scalable systems by managing the deployment of ERP and accounting software to provide full visibility into cost leakage and procurement efficiency.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred; MBA Finance or CFA is a significant plus.

- Strategic and detail-oriented with a passion for financial excellence and its role in scaling high-impact technology.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to find creative solutions to complex fiscal challenges.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to maintain rigorous standards in a fast-paced, evolving workplace.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to translate financial insights across different technical and operational departments.
- Competitive compensation aligned with role and experience.
