Financial Analyst

Job description

• Overall, 2-5 years of hands-on Experience in Finance Services Domain
• This position will be for Afternoon to night shift (2PM- 11PM)
• Minimum 2 years of Experience in Transaction Files to Recon NET, Bank Reconciliation transactions to independent records, and resolve any discrepancies
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Research exceptions, transaction variances, and unreconciled transactions from stores and process corrections, as needed.
• Hands on experience on General Ledger reconciliation & Journal Entries
• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries to record transactions
• Timely follow-up with counterparties (banks, lottery commission, money order issuers, card processors) on missing data/charges as reconciliations are performed
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with pivot tables and lookups
• Ability to work extended hours during month end close (first 5 workdays of the month)
