Department: Core - Finance
Location: Gurugram, India
We are on the lookout for a Financial Accountant to join our growing team in Gurugram, within a vibrant and fast-paced international setting to support our Indian business. This role is perfect for individuals who are part qualified in CA/MBA/equivalent etc and have strong skills in Excel, English. Your responsibilities will include month end and year end close responsibilities, and maintaining high levels of accuracy, ideally with a background in financial support for subscription and advisory sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and year end close processes and reporting for Aurora Energy Research Pvt Ltd , including:
- Preparation of prepayments and posting release of prepayments
- Preparation of accruals schedule and posting of accruals, working with the business
- Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support the Financial Controller -IND in Closing activity and Audit.
- Assist with the preparation of management commentaries and analysis for senior leadership
- Apply accounting policies and standards to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial submission
- Monthly preparation of WHT, GST, as well as quarterly preparation of GST returns, and submission to local accounting firm for submission.
- Support the Financial Controller – IND and Group Finance team in the external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department and assist with implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide support with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by the finance team and senior management.
- Assist in adhoc project work, including system improvements in Dynamics 365
- Deputize for the Financial Controller - IND
Required attributes:
- Part qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Advanced written and verbal English language
- Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in data analysis.
- Good working knowledge of IND AS would be an advantage
- Strong reconciliation skills
- A highly motivated individual with the ability to work proactively and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across different regions and functions.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Eager to learn and develop within a growing global company, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- A background in financial support for subscription and advisory sectors
- Experience of working in an multi-national business
- Knowledge of Power BI and Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
