Financial Operations Manager | Accrington (office-based) | £60-75k + bonus | Permanent


The Business

A long-established business in Accrington is looking for an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to be part of a newly built Senior Leadership Team.


The Role

This is an exciting new role working for a £100m+ TO turnover business that is growing each year. As Financial Operations Manager, you will be looking at efficiencies in people, process and technology. Ensuring each job has accurate, reliable financial information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all jobs have accurate, reliable financial information, across cost and billing.
  • Working with other departments (such as commercial, business change) to identify and fix any system issues.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, assist the Credit Control team in resolving any customer queries.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements.
  • Lead automation initiatives across finance systems and operational workflows.
  • Manage a large transactional team, with a direct report in Cost & Billing Manager.
  • Be part of the Senior Leadership team within finance, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and the Cash & Treasury Manager to cover all aspects of finance.
  • Assist in audits from a transactional perspective.
  • Implement and track KPIs within the transactional finance team.


You will have recent experience within a similar role as well as be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE.


Benefits & Package

  • £60,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Annual bonus
  • Monday – Friday, flexible hours (for example 8-4, 8.30-4.30, 9-5) with 30 minutes lunch (37.5 hours)
