Job Description
Summary
Fusionpact Technologies seeks a CA Finalist Finance Intern to drive real, hands-on involvement in core finance operations including GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance. You will work directly with the Finance Manager and Senior Accountant on end-to-end statutory filings, accounting operations, and financial reporting from Day 1. This is a full-time, 12-month internship offering practical exposure to live business finance processes in a growing AI-native technology company.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, reconciliation of GSTR-2B with books, and ensure timely statutory compliance
- Support TDS computation, deduction, and quarterly return preparation (Form 24Q/26Q)
- Work on Income Tax filings, accounting entries, advance tax calculations, and maintenance of supporting documentation
- Assist in monthly closing activities including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations
- Support internal and statutory audits; prepare audit schedules and working papers
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and working papers for all tax and accounting activities
- Assist in preparation of MIS reports, financial analysis, and management dashboards
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for data collection and clarification
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
Qualifications
- CA Finalist status with both groups of CA Intermediate cleared and currently enrolled in CA Final stage
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Mandatory prior internship or hands-on work experience in GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks)
- Good understanding of Indian taxation and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and demonstrated willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience with statutory audit processes or internal controls
- Exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, or management reporting
- Familiarity with GSTR-3B reconciliation and advanced GST scenarios
- Knowledge of TDS provisions under the Income Tax Act, 1961
- Experience with enterprise accounting platforms or ERP systems
- Exposure to MIS dashboard development or financial analytics tools
Legal / Statutory
This is a full-time internship position subject to Indian labour laws and statutory regulations. The internship duration is 12 months. Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) contributions shall apply as per statutory eligibility and regulatory requirements. The candidate is expected to adhere to all compliance and confidentiality requirements as per organizational policies. A standard notice period of 15 days applies for early termination by either party.
Compensation
Monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for the 12-month internship duration. Upon successful completion, the intern will receive a Letter of Recommendation and Internship Completion Certificate. Compensation is reviewed based on performance and adherence to internship milestones.
