Finance BI Analyst

Location: Mumbai or Pune, India

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00–09:00 to 17:00–18:00

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote per week Maximum

Total Compensation: Up to INR 2,500,000 per year, including performance bonus

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance BI Analyst to play a critical role in evolving the Controlling function and enabling data-driven, forward-looking financial steering at group level.

In this position, you will work closely with senior finance leadership and global stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making through high-quality reporting, analytics, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities

•Own, develop, and continuously enhance global BI dashboards and financial data models for management steering across regions, functions, and service lines

•Translate complex financial data into clear insights, narratives, and visualizations to support decision-making

•Deliver key Controlling activities, including:

• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cost and revenue management
• Project and CAPEX controlling
• Financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting

•Act as data custodian across reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity

•Actively participate in financial planning cycles using reporting and planning tools

•Conduct detailed engagement and profitability analyses to support strategic initiatives

•Serve as the primary contact for dashboard-related communication with internal stakeholders

•Provide backup support for dashboards and reports during team member absences

•Support and lead change initiatives to strengthen reporting, automation, and insight generation

•Prepare ad-hoc management reports for senior leadership, including executive and board-level audiences

•Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and local business stakeholders to provide meaningful financial support

Requirements

•CA / ICWA / MBA or equivalent degree in Finance or Accounting

•8+ years of experience in Controlling, Financial BI, or Management Reporting within a global environment

•Solid knowledge in IFRS and/or US GAAP, financial consolidation, and month-end/year-end close processes

•Proven experience designing and operating global management reporting and steering solutions

•Solid understanding of financial KPIs, performance drivers, and analytics concepts

•Strong experience with ERP and reporting tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Jedox, SAP ByDesign, and advanced Excel

•Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

•Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

•Ability to confidently communicate with diverse and senior stakeholders

•Proactive, autonomous working style with high ownership and accountability

•Team-oriented mindset and genuine interest in strategic, business-oriented finance
