Description

Amazon is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its Marketplace Finance team in Bangalore. This role will serve as a strategic partner to the business, acting as a financial copilot in driving performance and owning the P&L for one of Amazon’s business verticals. The position involves end-to-end responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting, and decision support through data-driven insights and analysis.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and strategic, with the ability to manage finances in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing financial reports, conducting ad-hoc analyses, and building financial models to support strategic decision-making and future initiatives.
• Providing good controllership by designing and improving processes that enhance transparency and strengthen financial controls.
• Leading financial reviews with business teams and partnering with leaders to ensure effective cost and financial management.
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to drive key objectives and improve free cash flow.
• Managing financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for product lines using key business drivers.
• Conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, translating data into actionable insights, and following up with category leaders to improve performance metrics over time.
• Partnering with the accounting team to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the category.
• Delivering ad-hoc analyses and financial models, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership on strategic priorities and planned initiatives.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience
• Master's degree
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance, accounting or related field focused on analytics
