Role Description The Field Sales Executive (Founding Team) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala, India, focused on driving customer acquisition and revenue growth for Optiro AI. This role involves prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting in-person and virtual product demos, and presenting tailored solutions to small and mid-sized businesses across diverse industries. The Field Sales Executive will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, manage the end-to-end sales cycle from initial contact to closing, and collaborate with the marketing and product teams to refine messaging and gather market feedback. Daily responsibilities include visiting potential customers, attending local business events, tracking pipeline activities in the CRM, preparing proposals, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. As part of the founding team, the individual will also contribute to shaping sales processes, go-to-market strategies, and long-term growth initiatives in the region.
Qualifications
- Strong field sales, B2B selling, and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging small to mid-sized businesses.
- Ability to conduct product demonstrations, explain technical concepts in simple terms, and tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, CRM tools, and business automation platforms, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; proficiency in local languages in Kerala is an advantage.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets, managing pipelines, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with on-site client visits, local travel within Kerala, and flexible work schedules aligned with customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant field sales experience may substitute for formal education.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership, and interest in contributing to an early-stage founding team at a growing SaaS startup.
