Role Overview:

The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the overall infrastructure, engineering, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, security, and support services of the hospital. The role ensures smooth operations of all non-clinical services, compliance with safety standards, and a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily facilities operations including engineering, electrical, plumbing, biomedical, HVAC, and general maintenance.Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment and hospital infrastructure.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility-related work.Ensure uninterrupted functioning of utilities (power, water, HVAC, gas lines).

2. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to fire safety, occupational health, and hospital safety standards.Conduct periodic safety audits, mock drills, and risk assessments.Coordinate with Quality & Safety teams for NABH/JCI compliance.Maintain proper documentation for statutory and regulatory compliance.

3. Housekeeping & Sanitation: Supervise housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all hospital areas.Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation & disposal (as per BMW rules).Monitor cleaning quality, material usage, and adherence to infection control standards.

4. Security & Front Office Coordination: Monitor security operations ensuring safety of staff, patients, and hospital property.Coordinate crowd management, visitor control, and emergency handling.Oversee front office services, helpdesk, and patient movement support.

5. Vendor & Contract Management: Manage contracts for housekeeping, security, maintenance, pest control, laundry, etc.Evaluate performance of outsourced vendors and ensure service-level compliance.Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective quality services.

6. Infrastructure Planning & Improvements: Support new projects, renovations, expansions, and space planning.Coordinate with civil and engineering teams for timely project completion.Identify and implement improvements to optimize space, workflow, and efficiency.

7. Inventory & Budget Management: Monitor consumables, equipment, and materials related to facility operations.Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost control.Approve purchase requests and maintain stock accountability.

8. Staff Management & Training: Lead and supervise facility staff, technicians, housekeeping supervisors, and security leads.Prepare duty rosters and ensure optimum manpower utilization. Conduct training on safety, customer service, infection control, and emergency protocols.

9. Patient Experience Support: Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and families.Address patient complaints related to facility issues and provide timely resolution.Work closely with Nursing, Admin, and Operations to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Facility Management / Administration Preferred: MBA / Diploma in Hospital Administration

Experience: 7–12 years, preferably in hospital facility management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
