Position Title


Executive Vice President (EVP), Strategy Execution


Position Summary


The EVP of Strategy Execution is responsible for translating the company’s strategic vision into actionable plans and ensuring effective execution across all business units. This role serves as the critical bridge between strategy formulation and operational delivery, driving alignment, accountability, and measurable results. The position typically reports directly to the CEO or President.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Execution & Implementation


Translate corporate strategy into annual and quarterly execution plans


Define execution roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs/OKRs


Ensure alignment between strategic priorities and business operations


2. Cross-Functional Leadership


Drive collaboration across business units and corporate functions


Remove organizational barriers and resolve execution conflicts


Establish governance mechanisms for cross-functional alignment


3. Strategic Program & Transformation Management


Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives (e.g., digital transformation, restructuring, M&A integration)


Build and oversee a Project Management Office (PMO) or Strategy Execution Office


Monitor program timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables


4. Performance Management


Develop and maintain strategy execution dashboards and reporting systems


Track progress against strategic goals and adjust plans as needed


Align performance management systems with strategic objectives


5. Data-Driven Decision Making


Leverage analytics and business intelligence to support execution


Identify performance gaps and optimization opportunities


Establish continuous improvement and feedback loops


6. Executive Support & Strategic Advisory


Provide regular updates to the CEO, executive committee, and board


Deliver insights, risk assessments, and recommendations


Support enterprise-level decision-making processes


Qualifications

Education & Experience


Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred


20+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, or consulting


Prior experience in large enterprises, private equity-backed companies, or top-tier consulting firms preferred
