Role Description The Executive Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations across designated outlets. The role includes planning and developing menus, supervising food preparation and presentation, and ensuring consistent quality and portion control. The Executive Chef will manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance, while enforcing food safety, hygiene, and cost-control standards. This position collaborates with management to create signature dishes, support catering and events, and align culinary offerings with brand standards and guest expectations. The Executive Chef will also monitor inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain efficient kitchen workflows.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Expertise in culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse kitchen teams, with effective delegation and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in cost control, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
  • Background in hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant kitchens; banquet or catering experience is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
