Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Event Sales Manager, based in Chennai. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing business opportunities through active engagement with prospective clients and managing existing accounts. Key responsibilities include coordinating with clients to understand their event requirements, creating tailored proposals, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring a seamless execution of events. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to meet revenue goals, conducting site visits for clients, and staying updated on market trends to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event sales, client relationship management, and account management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with an ability to manage stakeholders effectively
- Knowledge of event planning, logistics coordination, and on-site event execution
- Strategic sales planning and business development expertise
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry, particularly in banquet and event management
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales management platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in luxury or business hotels is an advantage
