About The Job

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on SAP Functional Expert in Plant Maintenance (PM) and Manufacturing to join our Digital Manufacturing & Supply organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders across our global manufacturing network and collaborate with a diverse digital team responsible for key applications such as MES, Serialization, Labelling, and other shop-floor systems.

You will play a pivotal role in translating business needs into best-in-class SAP solutions, ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient processes that support our manufacturing and maintenance operations.

Main Responsibilities

Functional Ownership

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for SAP PM but also collaborate with and support SAP Manufacturing digital architect when required.
  • Lead functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure SAP solutions follow company standards, industry best practices, and GxP requirements where applicable.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with plant teams and global stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Gather and challenge requirements and translate them into structured digital solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, proposing improvements and standardization opportunities.

Integration & Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues responsible for MES, Serialization, Labelling, and other digital manufacturing applications to ensure coherent end-to-end processes.
  • Support cross-functional design and troubleshooting in integrated scenarios (e.g., equipment master data, preventive maintenance plans, work orders, production execution).
  • Support development team with resolution of blocking issues and interdependencies and provide them architecture and design guidance
  • Collaborate with other architects and business analysts to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency, ensuring coverage of operational, statutory, and legal requirements. Past experience on PP, QM and FI-AA (Asset Accounting in Finance) is a plus
  • Collaborate with the development team to develop, configure, and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements

Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to global and site-level implementation projects, upgrades, and template rollouts.
  • Review and challenge proposals from system integrators to secure adherence to Opella standards and alignment with business requirements while ensuring scalability and maintainability.

Support and Incident Management

  • Provide Level 2/3 expert support for SAP PM and manufacturing topics.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, security) and external partners when required.
  • Ensure issues are resolved with the right balance of speed, quality, and sustainability.

About You

  • 7+ years doing ERP delivery in a business-oriented context, preferably in an FMCG global company
  • Solid experiences in implementing and maintaining SAP PM - Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management and Manufacturing modules
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid configuration experience, ability to determine when to use configuration vs. code as well as good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to translate functional specifications into technical design documents, support the construction of efforts and cost estimates, and manage delivery the desired functionality
  • Able to work on complex problems under pressure and deadlines
  • Project management experience; continuous improvement skills and mindset
  • Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management
  • Good understanding of Application and technology Architecture
  • Reading/Debugging ABAP code, SAP transport concept understanding (Charm), IMG customizing, custom table and parameters usage, understanding of data migration tools and procedures, familiarity with integration technologies (Odata, Idoc, etc), Understanding of roles and authorization objects concept is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and Fiori is a plus
  • Knowledge of agile ways of working is a plus
