Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist. The primary responsibilities include developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting safety training programs, ensuring workplace safety compliance, and addressing environmental health and safety (EHS) concerns. The Specialist will contribute to fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization and collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices
• Proficiency in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety protocols
• Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training programs
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance associated with EHS
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a remote environment
• Relevant certification in environmental or occupational health and safety is an asset
• Experience in healthcare-related safety protocols or research institutions is a plus
