Job Title: Enterprise Architect - Integration Architect

Location: Remote, India

Job Purpose:

The Domain Architect is responsible for defining and evolving the enterprise architecture within the assigned domain, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technology modernization goals. The role provides long-term architectural direction, governance, and standards to build a scalable, secure, and future-ready technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Domain Architecture & Strategy

• Define future-state architecture, principles, standards, and reference architectures for the domain.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business and regulatory priorities.
• Drive modernization, consolidation, and retirement of legacy systems.
• Ensure architecture supports scalability, resilience, security, and compliance requirements.

2. Integration Architecture

• Design and govern integration strategies including API-led, event-driven, and messaging architectures.
• Define standards for APIs, middleware, ESB/iPaaS, and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, MQ).
• Reduce point-to-point integrations and promote reusable, standardized patterns.
• Maintain integration technology catalog and lifecycle governance.

3. Architecture Governance & Standards

• Define and enforce architecture guardrails, standards, and reusable patterns.
• Review and approve solution designs through architecture governance forums.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles and regulatory requirements.
• Manage exceptions and ensure alignment with target architecture.

4. Technology Lifecycle Management

• Own domain technology catalog and define Invest / Hold / Retire decisions.
• Ensure lifecycle decisions are embedded in architecture and delivery practices.
• Prevent technology sprawl and ensure rationalization of platforms.

5. Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration

• Work closely with technology owners, solution architects, and delivery teams.
• Provide early architectural guidance for solution design and implementation.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and data teams for cross-domain alignment.
• Engage with vendors and partners for solution evaluation and selection.

6. Innovation & EA Maturity

• Drive enterprise architecture maturity and continuous improvement.
• Introduce automation and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance EA governance.
• Track emerging technologies and provide strategic architectural recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in Enterprise, Domain, or Solution Architecture roles.
• Strong technical foundation from engineering, DevOps, or platform background.
• Proven experience in banking or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Expertise in integration architecture (API, ESB, event-driven systems).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, API gateways, and middleware platforms.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, cloud, and distributed systems.
• Understanding of security standards (OAuth2, TLS, PKI) and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• TOGAF or similar architecture framework certification is a plus.
