Job Description

About the Company

We are looking for a powerhouse Engineering Manager to lead our Indian operations in Pune. You aren’t just a technical lead; you are the bridge between complex downhole engineering and commercial success. From overseeing the full product life cycle of completion tools to managing P&L and high-stakes stakeholder relationships, you will be the heartbeat of our regional operations.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Design: Drive the Design Approval process and maintain meticulous BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy. You’ll oversee the design, manufacturing, and V&V (Verification & Validation) of critical equipment.
  • Portfolio Excellence: Take full ownership of sustaining a commercial portfolio, ensuring products remain competitive and compliant throughout their entire life cycle.
  • Regulatory & Quality Guardian: Ensure every screw and seal meets API (American Petroleum Institute) standards and adheres to our global Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Operations & Business Strategy: Lead Indian operations with a focus on P&L activities. You’ll manage the budget, optimize resources, and ensure the Pune hub hits its performance targets.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Mastery: Act as the face of the company in high-level customer meetings and manage complex global stakeholder expectations.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Completion Tool Expertise (Non-Negotiable): You have deep, hands-on experience with Packers, Safety Valves, Downhole tools, and other Completion technologies.
  • Oil & Gas Pedigree: A proven track record in Subsea/sub-Surface and Downstream sectors.
  • Standard-Bearer: Deep familiarity with Global Design Standards and the rigors of the Oil & Gas regulatory environment.
  • Strategic Mindset: You understand that engineering doesn’t happen in a vacuum—you can balance technical integrity with commercial viability.
  • Leadership Presence: Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and local operations within a global matrix.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • MBA with PMP Is added advantage.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • The "Must-Have": Specific experience in Design Approvals for Completion tools.
