Job Description

Mechanical Engineer focusing on the design, review, and implementation of mechanical systems in infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. This role requires expertise in mechanical equipment selection, material specifications, and project coordination to ensure efficient execution and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Building Layouts & Loading Data: Develop and prepare building layouts and loading data drawings for civil design.
Water Balance Diagram: Prepare water balance diagrams and finalize water treatment schemes.
Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID): Develop P&IDs for water systems, compressed air systems, chemical systems, and related processes.
System Sizing & Capacity Selection: Determine sizing and capacity for water & air piping, HVAC, firefighting, water pumps, air compressors, water and sewage treatment plants, cooling towers (natural draft and Induced & Forced draft), EOT cranes, sluice gates, auto-rotating filters, shell & tube and plate heat exchangers, etc.
Tender & Pre-Bid Support: Review client tender documents, prepare pre-bid queries, and create line item BOQs for cost estimation for the specified packages.
Procurement & Vendor Management: Prepare RFQs, review vendor offers and provide manufacturer drawing clearance for the specified packages.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate among various disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) for system integration, interference checking, and ensuring completion of drawings and documents.
Technical Reviews & Meetings: Attend review and technical meetings with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors.
Project Execution & Commissioning Support: Oversee project engineering completion, review site feedback, support commissioning activities, and prepare PG closure reports.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and ISO.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and technical presentations.
