Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to oversee and execute civil works at our solar EPC project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing site grading, foundations, trenching, road construction, drainage, and other associated civil works for solar power plants. The Civil Engineer will work closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely, safe, and quality delivery of civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret civil drawings, structural layouts, and geotechnical reports.
Assist in preparing BOQs, civil work schedules, and method statements.
Coordinate with design consultants and in-house engineering teams for drawing approvals and revisions.
Oversee site preparation including grading, leveling, fencing, drainage, and access roads.
Supervise excavation, PCC, RCC foundation work, pile foundations (if applicable), and equipment foundations.
Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship as per project specifications and standards.
Conduct daily site inspections and manage contractors and civil teams on-site.
Implement QA/QC procedures for civil work, including cube testing, compaction testing, and survey verification.
Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, environmental and safety regulations.
Maintain HSE compliance and coordinate with safety officers for site safety measures.
Verify civil material requirements, ensure timely availability, and manage on-site usage.
Track consumption and wastage of materials like cement, steel, aggregates, etc.
Monitor subcontractor performance and work progress.
Maintain site records including work progress, labor deployment, and material usage.
Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR), inspection reports, and site photos.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Experience

2–4 years of experience in civil works execution, preferably in solar power or infrastructure projects.
Hands-on experience in utility-scale solar farms, substation civil works, or rooftop structural analysis.
