OpenWRT Developer

Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Experience: 9-12 Years

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 Days

Your Role

As an OpenWrt Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating Layer 3 and datacom features on embedded systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance networking solutions for next-generation routers and gateways.

In this role, you will:

Design and implement networking features on OpenWrt-based platforms.
Develop and optimize IP routing, NAT, firewall, and PON functionalities.
Ensure compliance with datacom protocol standards and best practices.
Collaborate with hardware and QA teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues in embedded environments.

Your Profile

Strong experience and understanding of OpenWrt architecture and development.
Solid design knowledge of Layer 3/datacom features.
In-depth understanding of datacom protocol standards (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, PPPoE).
Very strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with OpenWrt-based routers and RDK-B integration.
Familiarity with IP routing, NAT, firewall, and PON technologies.
