We are currently looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable and passionate IBDP Economics Teacher to join our team of educators to guide and mentor students through the rigorous demands of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

Responsibilities (include but not limited to

  • ):Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons for IBDP students in accordance with the IBO subject guid
  • e.Use inquiry-based, discussion-oriented and concept-driven teaching methodologies aligned with IB pedagog
  • y.Develop detailed lesson plans, unit plans and annual academic planners aligned with curriculum objectives and assessment criteri
  • a.Prepare students effectively for all components of the IBDP Economics assessment including Internal Assessments (IAs), External Examinations (Papers 1, 2 and 3) and Extended Essay supervision if assigne
  • d.Demonstrate strong subject expertise in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Global Economics with the ability to connect theoretical knowledge to current economic development
  • s.Integrate contemporary economic issues, global market trends, financial systems, public policy discussions and case studies into classroom teachin
  • g.Guide students in data interpretation, economic analysis, essay writing, evaluation techniques and evidence-based argument constructio
  • n.Support and supervise students in the completion of Internal Assessments (IA) ensuring academic integrity, research quality and compliance with IB assessment standard
  • s.Encourage students to develop analytical thinking, independent inquiry and research skills relevant to economics and social science
  • s.Facilitate classroom discussions, debates, presentations and collaborative learning experiences to strengthen conceptual understandin
  • g.Use differentiated instructional strategies to address varying learning needs and abilities of student
  • s.Regularly assess and monitor student academic progress using formative and summative assessment strategie
  • s.Provide timely, constructive and actionable feedback to students for continuous improvement and academic achievemen
  • t.Maintain accurate and comprehensive student records for internal reporting, moderation and IB documentation requirement
  • s.Design engaging learning experiences using IB Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL skills
  • ).Maintain updated documentation related to lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, grade records and student progress report
  • s.Collaborate closely with the IBDP Coordinator for curriculum planning, academic review, moderation and standardization processe

  • e.Serve as a class teacher or mentor, supporting the academic, emotional and behavioral development of assigned student
  • s.Promote the IB Learner Profile attributes and international-mindedness through classroom culture and student interaction
  • s.Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior and academic support strategie
  • s.Work collaboratively with colleagues, programme coordinators and school leadership teams to achieve institutional academic goal
  • s.Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum review sessions, planning meetings and school-wide initiative
  • s.Engage in continuous professional development programmes and stay updated with changes in IBO curriculum requirements and assessment practice
  • s.Participate in school events, open houses, academic exhibitions, university guidance activities and student-led conference

Qualifications & Experi

  • enceMaster’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics or a related field from a recognized univers
  • ity.B.Ed. (or) equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not mandatory for strong IB profil
  • es).Experience teaching Economics to higher secondary students is essent
  • ial.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in teaching IBDP Economics (or) Cambridge AS/A Level Economics (or) ISC/CBSE Higher Secondary Econom
  • ics.Experience in handling international curriculum frameworks and inquiry-based learning methodologies will be an added advant
