Looking for suitable candidates with Post Graduation in Economics/International Trade Policy from reputed Institute for the position of “Director – International Research” for one of our client’s in Delhi.

Purpose : The role involves leading research initiatives on international trade, investment, geopolitics, and global economic trends and supporting the advocacy and partnership efforts with foreign governments, multilateral institutions and industry bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage research projects on international trade, global economic trends, FDI, and bilateral/multilateral relations.
• Produce policy briefs, white papers, and analytical reports for internal and external stakeholders.

     Monitor and interpret global developments impacting Indian industry.

• Support organization’s engagement with government ministries, embassies, and international organizations.
• Draft policy recommendations and briefing notes for senior leadership and government consultations.

     Represent the organization in policy forums, roundtables, and international conferences.

• Liaise with foreign missions, trade bodies, think tanks, and academic institutions.
• Facilitate international delegations, B2B meetings, and strategic dialogues.
• Build and maintain networks with global experts and policymakers
• Publications & Communication - Contribute to international newsletters, journals, and media outreach.

     Prepare presentations, talking points, and speeches for senior leadership.

     Ensure quality and consistency in all external communication related to international research.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in international relations, Economics or International Trade Policy, or related field.

Key Skills / Attributes Required:

• 13-16 years of experience in international research, policy analysis, or global trade.
• Strong understanding of India’s foreign trade policy, global economic institutions, and geopolitical dynamics.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines & Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
