Role Overview


We are looking for a category leader to own the Truemeds OTC business end to end. This role will drive growth, profitability, assortment strategy, and consumer relevance while ensuring strong execution across pricing, supply, and marketing.


What You Will Own


  • Category Growth & Strategy - Define and execute category strategy to grow market share, revenue, and margins. Identify emerging opportunities across wellness, preventive care, and self-care segments relevant to Truemeds’ customer persona.
  • P&L & Profitability Ownership - Own category performance through CM2 including pricing, margin structure, and cost optimization. Improve contribution through mix improvement and pricing discipline
  • Assortment & Portfolio Optimization - Build the right assortment across price tiers and therapy needs. Identify gaps, new launches, and private label opportunities. Rationalize low-performing SKUs and improve portfolio productivity
  • Vendor & Brand Strategy - Partner with account management team to strengthen brand partnerships. Unlock better commercials, launches, and joint growth initiatives
  • Consumer & Data Insights - Use market intelligence and consumer behavior insights to refine assortment and pricing. Monitor competition, substitution trends, and demand patterns
  • Demand Planning & Availability - Work with supply teams to ensure inventory health and forecast accuracy. Minimize stock-outs, expiries, and working capital inefficiencies
  • Category Marketing & Growth Programs - Collaborate with Marketing to drive category campaigns and seasonal growth. Improve discovery, conversion, and repeat purchase
  • Cross Functional Leadership - Work with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Compliance teams to scale category impact. Enable smoother launches and strong regulatory alignment
  • Team Leadership & Governance - Lead and develop category managers and executives. Drive operating cadence through monthly reviews and leadership updates. Build a culture of accountability and data-led decision making
  • Compliance & Quality Governance - Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical promotion norms. Maintain strong governance on claims, labeling, and product listings


What We Are Looking For


  • Experience - 8 to 12+ years in category management, merchandising, buying, or business ownership roles. Experience in healthcare, OTC, FMCG, or e-commerce platforms preferred
  • Business & Financial Acumen - Strong P&L ownership mindset with pricing and margin optimization experience. Ability to translate data into commercial actions
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking - Strong problem solving and category planning capabilities. Comfort working with data and market insights
  • Leadership - Experience leading teams and influencing cross functional stakeholders. Ability to operate in fast scaling environments
  • Industry Understanding - Knowledge of consumer health, wellness, and preventive care trends preferred
