Kartavya Healtheon is a Mumbai-based B2B healthcare company dedicated to enhancing patient engagement. Our services encompass organizing in-clinic camps, facilitating patient support programs, and managing specialty pharmacy services. Our mission is to make healthcare accessible for everyone, regardless of location. We are currently partnering with a pharma client to provide essential diabetes education and support to patients. We seek a skilled and compassionate Diabetes Educator to join our dynamic team.

Job Overview:The Pen Educator will be responsible for educating patients and healthcare professionals on the correct usage, handling, storage, and disposal of insulin pens and other pen-based drug delivery devices. The role ensures safe administration, improved adherence, and better treatment outcomes for patients with diabetes.This is a field-based role requiring visits to assigned clinics and hospitals as per the roster provided by the reporting manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Education

o  Conduct one-on-one and group education sessions on proper pen device usage.

o  Demonstrate correct injection techniques, storage guidelines, and maintenance of devices.

o  Educate patients on dosage adherence, troubleshooting common device issues, and safety precautions.

o  Provide clear guidance on safe disposal of pen needles and related materials.

2. Healthcare Professional Training

o  Train nurses and clinical staff on proper pen handling and patient counseling techniques.

o  Share updates on new pen technologies, device advancements, and best practices.

o  Support healthcare providers in strengthening patient education protocols.

3. Compliance & Documentation

o  Maintain accurate records of patient education sessions and training activities.

o  Submit weekly patient education reports.

o  Ensure adherence to hospital policies, program guidelines, and regulatory standards.

o  Maintain compliance checklists for pen usage and documentation standards.

4. Ongoing Support & Follow-up

o  Provide continuous support to patients during hospital visits.

o  Address patient queries related to pen devices

o  Escalate clinical or device-related concerns to appropriate stakeholders when required.

5. Deliverables

o  Weekly Patient Education Reports

o  Compliance Checklist for Pen Usage

o  Training Documentation for Healthcare Staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field, or qualification as a dietician, or certification as a diabetes educator, with 1 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or allied services, or diet counseling.
• Strong passion for diabetes education and patient support.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a friendly demeanor.

Working Conditions:

• The Pen Educator will work in various settings, including doctors' clinics and hospitals as per roster provided by reporting manager.
