We are supporting a major organisation embarking on the development of a new mobile application capability and are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building the engineering platform that will underpin the programme. Working as part of a newly formed mobile application development team, you will help establish the cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment pipelines and operational tooling required to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing customer-facing mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure supporting mobile and digital applications.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices across development and production environments.
• Support mobile application development teams with deployment, release management and platform tooling.
• Build monitoring, alerting and observability capabilities to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end, back-end and mobile engineers to create a scalable and resilient engineering ecosystem.
• Drive continuous improvement across DevOps processes, cloud operations and security practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Good understanding of cloud security, networking and operational best practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience supporting mobile application development teams.
• Experience delivering customer-facing digital products at scale.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery environments.
• Exposure to SRE, platform engineering or cloud-native architectures.
