Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Desktop Engineer located in Huddersfield. The Desktop Engineer will provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including the maintenance and installation of operating systems and desktop applications. The role involves working closely with the IT team to ensure the efficient running of IT equipment and provide excellent service to staff and students. The individual will also assist in monitoring and maintaining IT performance, security, and connectivity.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Desktop Computers and Operating Systems
• Proficient in Technical Support and Troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
• Experience with Software Installation and configuration
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Relevant IT certifications or a diploma/degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred
• Experience working in an educational or multi-user environment is an advantage
